Video of 1993 Interview with Miss Ann Cierley. She tells what it was like coming to teach at Burroughs in 1959. Miss Cierley started the debate program and led the team to statewide and regional championship. She taught at Burroughs for 15 years. This is a very fun video due to Miss Cierley's lively personality, with lots of interesting details about the school and community at that time. (33:20)

 

From the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library website, video of JFK's June 7, 1963 visit to NOTS China Lake. The video includes the President's arrival on Air Force One; welcoming ceremonies and a lengthy demonstration of various weapons developed at NOTS; and his tour of the base (which many of us no doubt remember!). In the video he also delivers a short address and then departs by helicopter. (27:16)
